Background

Unsensible was founded because we got sick of using marketing communications to sell plasticky, polluting, and unhealthy evil shit. Well crafted messaging and thoughtful design changes minds and we don't want to deploy our skills to help the wrong causes. The beauty of capitalism is the markets have a choice and we can choose our clients.

So we work with really smart clients, literal PHDs at the top of their fields. They're all out to change the world by making it a healthier place. Some of them work on vaccines, others are tackling DNA testing, or curing cancer.

The problem for them is normal people don't speak scientist. You can't change someone's mind who can't or won't understand you. So we tweak messaging, illustrate, animate and even make memes so that our clients can be understood.

The role

We're looking for a document designer to join our team. There are a lot of UX/UI designers out there, but we're interested in someone who loves paper, is an InDesign native and can whip up compelling documents that will be presented at the UN, World Economic Forum and the top scientific conferences around the world. They will also be published and referenced by the top global media outlets including the FT, Time and WSJ.

You should:

1. Have a strong sense of typography and craft and be able to defend your ideas, scientists love the Socratic method. But don't worry, you won't be alone, you'll have a strategist by your side to back you up.
2. Be available US Eastern time
3. Be able to communicate your ideas clearly with a geographically dispersed team. Familiarity, with Zoom, Slack and project management tools like ClickUp will be advantageous.
4. Be respectful. We are a tight team with a strict no assholes policy.
